Widebody conversion and aero bits
Hi,
so has anyone completely done the wide body conversion on a z51? The only kit I find is the from acs composition that’s almost $5k ($7k if you get it painted). Anybody know of a cheaper way of doing this conversion? Also, if I was to start off with doing the side skirts first, would the same side skirts fit once I put the wide body kit? Any tips and suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Just curious... have you considered trading for a GS? The price difference isn't much.

Yeah I actually have a bunch of dealership on the lookout for me right now. The thing is I got my z51 at such a good deal ($30k) that all the Grand Sports are almost double that price. With the big C7 dump off that’s happening, Corvettes are fairly cheap right now but the Grand Sports are holding their value the best.

Rocker panels, (aka aperture panels ). $1,200 Rear quarter panels $800. Rear bumper cover $400. Rear spoiler with wickerbills $500. Painting $1,500 — full wide body add front fenders $800. Rims and tires $2,500. More painting $600. I did it already so I can have 6 speed auto. But prices have gone down its best to get a used GS 1lt or 2lt for $55,000.

I did my 2014 z51 to a wide body but I used all GM panels & got all my body parts from Edgevette the vendor in here Cajun got me the best price out of every one in here. I did all my work other than the painting of the panels. I also went with LG C.F. hood on the car... Robert

Like the others said, its way easier to just sell your car & buy a GS after weighing in all of the costs involved unless you are doing all of the work yourself
