You know guys, he might be a YouTube ***** and all of that but I want to know what happened., for no other reason than to know how to prevent it or know when it's going to happen and know how to respond for safety. (now that's a long sentence)You could tell he was upset. Just glad no one was hurt.

Everyone's worried if its click bait... duh, it's youtube! But it appears none of his videos have enough views (play hours) to be monitized. He just hit the required amount of subscribers so maybe this is the final push he'll need. Like the rest of us, he's just trying to get his... Good luck with the channel OP, just don't try to dupe anyone!
Edit: just noticed that OP's video does not have ads, that means no $$$ being made.
Youtube policy for Monitization
The YouTube Partner Program (YPP) lets you earn money from ads served on your videos and from YouTube Premium members watching your content. Your channel must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible:
I don't doubt the fact that his car is sitting there burning to the ground though!

I disagree. He didn't appear upset in the slightest to me. He seemed more "matter of fact" about the whole thing
(not guessing his motives but his demeanor definitely didn't seem to match the level of the incident it should have, if he truly cared about the car)

2015 C7 of the Year Finalist
If it were my car AND I had ANY clue as to why it went up in flames, I would express my ideas in the first post.
Did I mod the car? Did I re-plumb the fuel lines? Did I see fuel leaks or smell gasoline fumes? Did I re-build the engine? Did I put on a Supercharger or turbos?
I sure as hell won't make another video to let everyone know the cause of the fire.
I'd warn you so it won't happen to you.
Sorry, I won't click on another YT that he produces.

it boggles my mind that first of all, advertisers pay money to the 'entrepreneurs' for ad placement, and second, that these YT people make money off these ads.
the advertisers must be getting ROI or they wouldn't continue. I know I skip the ads every chance I get.
I like this story I read the other day though
https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/03/us/ic...rnd/index.html

genuinely sorry
Obviously glad no one was hurt and I hope you get past this with a minimum of discomfort. Whenever you decide to provide a
follow up to this I hope you do so not so much to let us know but to help you get over it more easily. Take your time.
And Damn some of you guys are harsh, is this just a way to prove your cynicism makes you wiser, more of an "insider" vis-a-vis
YouTube? Even if it's true, so what? I wonder what a few of you are capable of......

My C7 had the fuel leak issue and was repaired. Big job because it requires a lot of disassembly. Garage smelled like a gas station. GM is foolish for not being more proactive IMHO.

Wow! he's so lucky this happened in a remote area with no others vehicles or people around! imagine if it had been in the mall parking lot or his driveway? could have been more of a disaster -very unfortunate but if its going to happen, it couldn't have taken place in a better location.

I'm surprised nobody else mentioned that the OP has been registered on this forum since Sept 2011 but yet this is his first post. I don't know why, but I always find that sort of thing odd.

I find it odd that he supposedly bailed out of a burning car, and his first thought was to start filming himself. And the fact that this clearly occurred some months ago, while he was a forum member, but chose to post it just now. It's just a little too staged for me to buy into.

As a forum member, if my car burned up I would want to tell everyone what happened as a matter of safety. Don't know why we would have a long video and no preliminary cause to alert others of a potential tragedy or safety issue.

And why would you need a video to explain? A few sentences is all you really need. Methinks his explanation video will be an ad.
