Default Final orders for Stingray or GS Coupe by COB July16

This is the last chance to order a C7, Stingray Coupe (base or Z51) or a Grand Sport coupe. According to Mike Furman's e-mail, it must be in by this Tuesday, July 16. Got to admit, I'm a little sad to see the C7 fading away. However, the Corvette name will live on with the upcoming C8 mid-engine car which promises to be as impressive as the C7.
Your thoughts.

The reason I searched out a new GS last month, found pretty much what we wanted if not we would have ordered. We hope the new C8 is a good car and I am sure it will, hopefully will get a C8 to replace our C6 in a year or two...........

The C8 is going to have to be pretty good to top my Stingray as far as reliability goes. I always look at the glass as half full and assume it will be as reliable and a little better at the very least. I will wait for it to be in the masses hands before I buy and see how reliable it is.
The only thing that would really hold me back is if it had inadequate storage as we take a lot trips that require a decent amount of space as the C7 has provided us.
I'll have to see one in person. Right now I'm not liking the styling quite as well as the C7. I'm not a grumpy old man either. I like new things and technology and am usually a guinea pig for most people. But with this new platform I'll have to be convinced before I buy.
I have mixed feelings about its success. My wife stated that if we don't like the C8 we would have to get a McLaren. Her girlfriend drives one and she likes it very much. But she's in my camp. Meaning the Corvette is the best value dollar for dollar.

The C7 has had a good run and hopefully the C8 will carry on the tradition. Meanwhile, I am thoroughly enjoying my C7.

Right now my Z06 will stay as nasty as want it to be. C8, maybe in the future.

So... everything ends. Time to move on, at least for The General.

I am sad to see the front engine Vette go. I love the long hood on a Vette. I bought a '19 GS in April of 2018 so I would not be tempted to buy a C8 until prices went down a bit. I will keep my '19 even after I buy a C8.
