Pretty sure I was awarded the A8 tranny or tc failure on my 2015....I have the shudder, failure to go into gear unless I use manual paddles.
Dealer is saying it’s NOT one of the 13 or 14 TSBa, that it’s an internal pressure issue, they need to pull the trans to see what’s up, and that it may not be covered by power train warranty. Anyone have any experience with this?

For what it's worth, there are not many internal parts that would not be covered under power train warranty. You have to authorize the work because it's your car and the repairs have to be paid if they're not covered under warranty.
Did they verify it's a pressure issue with diagnostic equipment and rule out the shudder concern, delay into D concern and other bulletin concerns first?
Bulletptoof reliable trans. Has issues like everything else but failing is a rare one. Just spoke to the ttans tech at my dealer who bracket races a twin turbo C5 and has built performance cars his whole life. Outside of the shudder issue which the newest iteration of fluid has cured according to them, qhat happened to your C7 is rare.
Id be amazed if it isn't covered by the powertrain... amazed.
The dealer's response sounds suspicious to me. Sorry, but had to say it. Best of luck to you.
I gotta say, your dealer sounds like he's a bit full of chit. It's a transmission that is a big part of the drive train. If the bad part is inside the transmission, and causing that big part of your drivetrain to malfunction it should be covered. Do not let that knucklehead BS you.

Best of luck dealing with your dealer. Hope they find the problem and it is fully covered by your warranty.
They just called. Said the car is ready for pickup. No mention of anything not covered under warranty. I'll try to find out as much as I can about the failure and the repair and report back. As long as I'm there, I'll see how much they want to give for a trade-in for the C8....but I'm really trying to figure out how to keep the C7. I really love this car, and I know the C8 won't be able to fit full size luggage, or even small luggage with the roof in the trunk. Hijacking my own thread, but the C7 has an amazing amount of space compared to the C8.
