Anyone install vent enhancers?
I'm curious if any of you have installed the C7 vent enhancers? They look pretty easy to put on. How much are they?

I agree - need more info on just what you are talking about.

Don't the GS/Z06 have something similar from GM?
I'm guessing that the GM version might be more effective, but that's just speculation.

Link to the product - and yes, the GS, Z06 and probably the ZR1 have them from the factory.

Of course, these are not like the factory "scooplets."

The factory scoops flow with the design of the car better than these aftermarket units. I bet the aftermarket ones pull in more air and at the same time create more drag due to their closed off sides design.

Are the scoops for show on the base stingray or do they actually have duct and air flow to the heat exchangers. I know they are functional on the GS and Z but thought i read where that is not the case on the base stingray, could be wrong. Seems if they were functional they would have the scoop like the GS and Z.

These are not functional on the Stingray and to make them functional so that air flows to the transaxle etc, will require some modifications that do not sound simple. such as taking off the fenders.

An M7 base C7 has neither functional, do ducts no heat exchanges.
Opening the blocking plate would be less than useless! No plastic ducts going to heat exchanges, just MORE drag!

Yep, for both auto and manual trans.
The manual differential fluid cooling operation is interesting. The Z51, GS, Z06 have a small oil pump on the pinion shaft that circulated the fluid though the air/fluid heat exchanger behind he fender ONLY when the car is moving. My C6 Z51 standard shift trans had a similar oil pump that only operates when the car is moving BUT it's cooling was more complex!
First the c6 transmission was cooled like an automatic with lines going to the front radiator. BUT rather than that cooled trans fluid going straight back to the transmission, it went through a fluid/fluid heat changer much like the engine oil/engine coolant heat exchanger on a dry sump C7 (near the filter.)
Differential oil pump on end or pinon shaft
Cooled returning trans fluid goes through fluid/fluid heat exchanger cooling dif!

These aren't produced anymore are they?
Given how easy they are to install I wonder why they weren't more popular.

Put me in the camp for preferring the "scoops" on the GS/Z06 over those aftermarket units. They don't appear to flow well with the angular design of the car. I have a Z51 car, so mine are functional, but if I ever felt a need for a bit better cooling, I'd get a set of the GS/Z06 OEM scoops, install those and call it a day.

I swapped both flat vents on my '15 Z51 A8 to factory Z06 style vents. Also swapped front grill to Z06 version.

when I bought my 2014 Z51 vert used I found a set of these in the trunk but had no idea of what they were for or where they went. Looks like you would have to cut a hole in each fender to install them.... somehow I don't think this is a good idea. CJ

Where did you get those little black decals? I've been looking for some like that for a while now.
