The C8 looks great but no manual trans kills it for me.
Before someone tells me to just be happy with tha auto, don't..
I have a 2018 Camaro Auto trans and it sucks real bad.
Auto trans = No fun.
What are the tricks to getting a C7 manual at a discount?
I looked on Chevrolet's build-to-order page and there are no discounts.
$56,995 for a 1LT Elkhart Blue with manual transmission and no options.

And only one had a single manual trans but it was white on black.
So I am being hit by wanting a manual which no one seems to stock
and the elusive Elkhart on Gray. The 2LT gives me nothing I want but
adds weight and about $6000 to the price.
I know I am too picky, I want a rare combo of Elkhart/Gray/Manual.
Then there's the fact I don't want to pay near C8 prices.
Building it online gives me what I want but it's full retail price.
What is the cut off for building a 2019 C7 online with the configurator ?
I could wait until mid 2020 when the C8 is shipping in volume then
snag someone dumping their C7 but the combo I want still becomes
the issue.

try kerbeck web site...they have lots of corvettes. I think the date to order one is gone. I disagree with you on the 2lt package --- Heads up display, front camera, dimming mirror?
Good luck.
I do not think we will see a c8 until March so plenty of time for all the C7 to be gone. I bet at least 40% of the buyer of the corvettes even are aware there is a C8 coming out.
Good luck.

I checked, MacMulkin has 6 Elkhart 2LT manuals and 2 Elkhart 1LT manuals.
All are Jet Black interior. Then I have to pay 2 grand to have it shipped enclosed
from NH to FL. And it's still not gray interior. Thanks for the idea anyway..

I live in Va and purchased my GS from Indianapolis and it was an outstanding experience from finding what I wanted, the price, the dealer/salesman professionalism and delivery by Intercity. I do strongly recommend that you not buy site unseen.
I agree with you as I refused to pay an extra $4500 for 2LT features that I didn't want of need. The $4500 saving almost paid for my convertible upgrade which I definitely wanted. Of course to each their own.
It may be difficult finding a manual with the color-combo you want as dealers don't stock many M7s for inventory. Good luck to you sir

One can only hope.
As it stands for every C7 they sell it's almost 1:1 for a C8 allocation they can sell for msrp.

My girlfriend got a very good deal from Mike Furman on a new 2019 Elkhart Lake Blue Stingray 1LT. Hers is automatic, but having the right color, black wheels, black trim and black interior was more crucial than a manual gearbox. Of course, I still have my 2017 Torch Red Stingray 2LT with the 7-speed manual if she ever feels like rowing through the gears herself.
His web page is here: http://www.corvettefurman.com
Tell him that Jeff K. and Noel W. from Virginia sent you.

I didn't want to pay full MSRP with the C8 coming in at 60k so just as well that build-to-order is closed. Paying 57k for a 2019 1LT would mean a 15K depreciation the day its delivered with the new C8 costing the virtually the same.

I did too. I wanted a manual because most all my vettes over the years have been manuals, my DD was a manual, however it's VERY Difficult to find a C7 manual convertible especially with everything else I wanted (GS-silver-red-1LT-chrome wheels etc).
So I found it all, except the M7. So happens, I'm glad I went with the A8, because it's Awsome. Shifts like lightening, have a Range so doesn't go into V4 and I've haven't have any troubles with it.

Nope. SHE picked color over a manual. She wanted the ELB with the black wheels/trim and an automatic transmission more than a car with the 'regular' wheels and a manual.
Besides, she can always drive mine if she wants to row through the gears.

Shaggy has it pegged for ya. Keep looking and be patient, and if you just can't find the exact car you want you'll have to compromise. If you believe some of the folks on these forums, people will be giving away their C7's soon.

However, don't wait until 2020. The inventory of C7s, both used and new is still very high. Once those new C7s are mostly sold, the total inventory will drop sharply. That is, there won't be that many used C7s taking the place of that new inventory. Also, due to the type of buyer the C8 will attract, I don't expect a lot of used C7s showing up on dealers lots.
In your shoes, I would google for the list of the top 50 Corvette dealers. (I believe more than one of them is in Florida). I'd start with the top ten, and phone each of them telling them what you want and ask what they have in stock or coming in. Maybe you'll get lucky.
