Anybody have the part number for the rivets that attach the poverty (stage 1) splitter? (big fat ones with a large head) I need to take it off to refinish it after it got damage from a steep curb...
I looked on Trunk Monkey parts, but couldn't find them...

You can find a supply of the rivets at Speedway Motors. The rivets are 3/16 large head rivets although I don't know if GM uses the exploding version or the regular version. Both are shown here: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Searc...e+head++rivets
Bill, they use the exploding one. Thanks for that link, those look like they will work great. I still have some spares in my garage from I don't know what, but when and if I need more, I'll know where to go!
Actually, the rivets that came with the kit were 3/16x 3/8 aluminum large head. And there were black. I was just wondering if anyone knew the GM part number. I can Amazon 3/16x3/8 large head rivets.lol
although having an expanding push pin fastener would make future repair easier..

For fasteners and stuff like this, I go to a local auto paint store and they usually have them. I needed about a dozen door fastener clips for my wife's C5. They were available from one of the Corvette suppliers for about $3.50 each and I got them from the PPG paint store for $2.59 per bag of 10.
i can't imagine that a scrivet can be used to hold those on securely... Bill tells a good tale about his Z06 half falling off his trailer or something and the side skirt rocker extension etc was holding the car up... a scrivet is not pulling that off imo..
On my 2015 Z51 I added the poverty splitter. I used scrivets in place of pop rivets. There are still somewhere around 10-12 screws that hold it in as well if I recall.
I found the pop rivets GM uses in my garage, they have a wider base to hold the object better, and are exploding type. See the GM ones in this pic on the right, compared to some other black exploding rivets on the left that I purchased.
I tried finding the instruction sheet for a part number, but did not find one for the front splitter. The sheet I have for side skirts uses the same rivets, but did not list a part number for them. Oddly enough, it did have a part number for the longer screw that attaches the side skirt to the front fender.

Most of these are generic items Take one in to your local auto parts store and you should find them bagged and hanging on a wall. The guys will help if needed.

Unless the national auto parts store chains have changed over the last 4 or 5 years they won't have them. I originally purchased a couple of different types of rivets from Speedway then found a supply at a local Up State NY dirt track equipment store before I moved South.
I revived this thread from last year because I just replaced my poverty splitter and used scrivets instead of the OEM rivets. The scrivets are 8mm so you have to drill the holes out a little bigger but it's a very stout install. These are from NAPA and are nylon, they're pretty tough. The splitter isn't going anywhere. Special thanks to my buddy Pat who donated his immaculate splitter from his Z (he replaced his with aftermarket CF). I posted a link to NAPA and also a mfg and part number in case the link gets broken in the future. Granted NAPA isn't the cheapest but they had them in stock a couple miles from my house. Drilling out the rivets is a huge pain and makes a mess of aluminum shavings and oil. Now if I have to replace it again, I can just undo the 10 screws and pop out the 10 scrivets. Way cleaner.
