Default "Launch" question

I have a 2016 1LT Stingray. When my car is set up to "launch" are the rear brakes released? I think it's called line-lock.
Thanks

No, the Corvette doesn't have a line lock. The ZL-1 Camaro does, however, perhaps that's what you have in mind.

Line lock locks the front brakes while leaving the rear unlocked. Used for spinning the tires/burnouts. No, Launch mode does not work the same as a line lock. I would love to hear someone's explanation of how the RPM is controlled. If I had to answer, I would say voodoo.

RPM’s are controlled like most everything else in the car, computer code.
