On my black track wheels, I always tape over the weights with black duct tape to insure they stay on. Probably overkill, but, one less thing to worry about or deal with during a track event.
Not overkill. I have had weights fall off from the heat emanating from the rotors when the car was parked after a session. I have had weights fal of motorcycle wheels under the same circumstances. I now tape every weight.
