Default MENU button question

On my C7, rotating my MENU button changes the zoom in and zoom out of the GPS map. I thought that rotating the MENU button changed the radio station. Does anyone know how I get the MENU button to go to changing the radio station?

If you have the radio screen selected, it will change the channel. If you have the NAV screen showing, it will zoom in and out

Simple

Wow, I didn't know that. Sure beats mashing the -+ on the screen when you need to zoom in or out quickly!

I guess in the past I was in the RADIO mode when rotating the MENU button, but this time had the NAV screen on since I was going to a new place, and rotating the MENU button started zooming in and out instead of changing the channel, which I found to be much quicker and easier for zooming than pressing the on screen +/- buttons.

I just didn't think to go back to RADIO mode but thanks to the poster who pointed that out. So now I know, and it's nice to finally learn this better zoom feature after two years of ownership!

Does it do anything else, besides scroll thru menu options?

No political opinion? WTF Ken?

I'm not sure as those are the only 2 things I've tried it with (so far!) However, looking at the InfoTainment manual, the MENU **** does a lot more (see? RTFM does work!)

As I spend a great deal of time in PR&C, the previous "tag line" worked fine there. However, apparently some here took exception to it and I was asked to change it in order to maintain the peace The replacement is my way of addressing that

I may have to try that someday! Thanks!

I will miss your colorful and spot on taglines, but I fully understand.

FWIW, we can add this to the ever-increasing list of things that the '14 doesn't do.

Maybe they'll figure out a way to keep the scale visible for more than 5 seconds. Having a disappearing scale is one of the dumbest Nav "features" I've ever seen.

I agree, always had to press the up arrow to bring up the scale and then zoom in or out, but rotating the MENU **** is a great zoom shortcut.
