im not a computer wizard, but I know you want a SXDC class10 card. Im not sure about write speed
And a 256 gb would provide you with about 6,400 minutes of recording. That is more than enough!

Now matter how much capacity on your card, the largest individual recording session can only be 1 hour and 39 minutes. FAT32 limits the size of an individual file to 4G. There was somebody on here who claimed they could get longer recording times but they never said how. EDIT to add: exFAT and NTFS formats are not recognized by my 2019 PDR, nor were they recognized in my 2017. FAT32 format is the only format that has worked in my experience. END EDIT

OK, I'm cool now. Realized I had downloaded a FAT32 format app last year when I got my new dashcam. Used that and the PDR recognizes now the 128GB card.
HOWEVER
I am a ******* idiot and installed my dash cam in front of the PDR cam.
This is what I get.....current mat is exFAT. Pwershell and CMD give me the same thing....Help!
Thanks in advance
After having some "issues" formatting an SD card, I discovered SD Formatter software, recommended for formatting all SD cards. Unsure what its limits are, but it's free and worth having for formatting SD cards..

It looks as if Microsoft has disallowed formatting of FAT32 on larger than 32 gig drives. It was possible in the past but not anymore. I tried both in Powershell and CMD and they did not work.
I thought /Q (Quick Format) was the problem. Nope.
C:\Users\Ron>format /FS:FAT32 E:
Insert new disk for drive E:
and press ENTER when ready...
The type of the file system is EXFAT.
The new file system is FAT32.
Verifying 59.5 GB
The volume is too big for FAT32.
Format failed.
