Default Outside door opener

I have a 2019 Stingray and most of the time opening the doors from the outside I have to press the door opener 2X. Anyone else having this issue?

It happens often. Not a big deal. I think there may be a delay if you grab the handle quickly. It may just be the car recognizing the key fob a bit slow.

I have the same issue at times. I think it's pretty normal. I had the same issue with my C6.

Seems to me that your Passive Door unlock feature is not working. I don't know about the 2019, but my 2016, press SETTINGS on the Home Page on the infotainment system display and the options will show. Scroll down to Passive Door unlock.

Works every time if you have a fresh battery. The key fob gets really flaky as the battery starts to wear out.

It only happens if released too quickly. Hold the release a moment longer and the issue should disappear.

Yeah mine takes about a second of holding to unlock.

This is very common on most vehicles. Sometimes we are too quick and don’t give it enough time to release. I do it often with my Honda Pilot. I grab the handle and pull it before it has a chance to unlock the door. You need to take your time and hold it till it opens.

Settings have nothing to do with this issue. You cannot turn off passive unlocking.

Most likely culprit is a low fob battery, low car battery or some interference in descending order, however, dirty door pads are starting to be likely given the age of our oldest C7s.

Door Dogs = problem solved.

After getting my C7 I had immediate hate regarding that hidden touch pad. I found the doors were tricky to open plus I was getting finger prints on them when closing. The Dogs solved both issues.
