Default Hawk brake pads

Has anyone installed Hawk ceramic brake pads? If so what was the result-----dust, quiet, good braking. etc.. Ease of installation.

Can't speak to 'em on a C7 but I did have Hawk HPS pads on my C6 and they were great. Very low dust and plenty of braking performance for the street

Installed the Ceramic Hawk pads on my 2017 Z06 and they work fantastic. Can't speak for track use but I have about 300 miles of cruise trips on them and they have very low dust, I'd say 75% less then the stock Brembo's. They stop the same as the Brembo's. I would highly recommend them.

Anyone have any comparison to the amount of dust Hawk produce compared to PowerStops?

Default Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads

I've had Hawk Ceramics on my '17 GS for 2 years. Very slightly less initial grabiness than OEM Brembos, but overall stopping power is about equal. The real kicker is the dust. Where the Brembos dust is dark and sticky and noticeable on even short trips, the Hawk dust is 80% less in quantity, lighter in color and quite a bit easier to clean.

In my case, the Hawks produced a little more dust than do the Powerstops

I have used them on my GS for 9 months. They're awesome. Make sure you bed them (instructions are on the box) and I also applied a thin layer of a heat resistant 3M copper laden brake paste, that was highly recommended on Amazon, on the back plate of the pads and on the side of the pad where it contacts the caliper. Since I installed these pads I have not heard 1 squeak from the pads. My set combined cost was about $220 for front and rear. There is a small amount of dust but all pad will produce some degree of dust. It is nowhere as bad as the Brembos though. I also installed a complete ceramic coat on my wheels and calipers so whenever the wheels get dusted I just run my pressure hose over the wheel and the wheels come spotless clean, no fuss no muss. I highly recommend them.

Yes I did bed them. After the bedding the stopping power was equal to the Brembos.

Yes. Have had them for over a year on my '14 Z51. No dust as opposed to filthy after a few miles with the OEM Z51. I previously tried the other brand heavily flogged this site....horrible.sounded like a garbage truck coming to a panic stop. No noise with the Hawks.

I ran a set of Hawk HPS pads on my C5. Very little dusting and good stopping performance.

These are the pad part numbers for a Grand Sport. Go to Amazon and do a search for these parts. There are various vendors you can choose from. If you do not have a GS go to the Hawk Performance website and contact them to get the proper part number for your vehicle. Go back to the Amazon website and search for a deal on that part. I don't know if there is a Hawk Performance vendor on the Corvette forum. Hope this is helpful..
