Default Wheel question

I want to know what everybody is doing with their factory GS wheels. I got the dreaded crack in the right rear and really don't want to have these laying around the garage when I get a new set. Is anybody buying up the wheels or do they just collect dust in the corner?

Sorry to hear that you are a victim of poor quality.

If they are no good I guess they should go to the junkyard where they belong.

Or you could turn them in to coffee table or seat bases.

The only option I've seen is to try "parting them out" to others who might wish to replace their damaged wheels individually, as that occurs. Being back-ordered from GM ought to help. Other than that, they're really a little large for doorstops or paperweights. All the best.

You’ll get a few bucks for them at a recycling center or try and get them repaired and have a spare set.

I had a drivers side front and rear bend but not crack.

i bought new replacements and saved the others. I plan to have them “fixed” so that I have spares.

there’s not a scratch on them but I can hear the warble sound which told me they were bent quite a bit.

my other 2 original wheels are slightly bent but I wouldn’t have known if the dealership hadn’t showed me that while the car was up on a rack with the tires rotating.

maybe some day I’ll buy forged if I see a good looking black set with a red stripe.

Damaged wheels make a good "rack" to store your garden hose on the wall.
