Replacing brake pads

I've had my 2017 GS for a little over 2 weeks now and I'm already sick of cleaning the wheels. I ordered some Hawk pads and plan on changing them out this weekend. I've watched several youtube videos and read different articles and their doesn't seem to be much consensus on the need to sand the rotors. My car iwill probably roll over 10k miles on the way home if that matters. Should I sand the rotors before re-installing?

Don't bother. They will "Sand" themselves while you drive it. Save your time.; Interesting I also have a 2017 GS CE # 663 with 24,000 miles and don't mind the break dust at all.
I never track it, have standard CE wheels (Black) and Brembo Ceramic Brakes. Take you foot off the break??????

No need to sand the rotors but do bed the new pads as per Hawk's instructions

I switch back and forth between street and track pads - no sanding in between, just to do the standard bedding procedure as it removes the old material well enough.
