Default Dash lights

I started my 2014 Z51 up after installing the 1 to 4 th bypass on the transmission and after about 15 seconds the dash lights went to dark. The HUD stayed lit and could vary the brightness with the dash ****. I did this while I was getting a X-pipe installed. Now the dash lights come and go with no apparent reason. Co-incidence or problem somewhere else.... any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks, CJ

Neither of those mods should have affected the dash lighting.

The HUD brightness is controlled by the lever, the dash brightness is controlled by the ****. Which brightness were you adjusting?

If you haven't already done so, try changing the dash brightness in case there's a spot which is flaky.

You cant adjust the dash brightness during the day, it only can be adjusted when the sensors say its dark out, a long thread on this

That's not exactly right.....

If you had your dash lights dimmed for better night vision and you start the car up in the day the dash lights will be still be dimmed. While they will only adjust to X-brightness.... as soon as you drive into the light the lights will stabilize for day time driving. Had to adjust mine in the garage just this morning.....

well, I tried to adjust the dash lights this morning while parked in the garage and absolutely nothing happened... so I figured I had a sure nuff problem ... so glad to see that was normal. At least the dash lights were normal or lit... maybe they will stay this way. I'll have to do some more experimenting but thanks for the info! CJ
