MacMulkin kudos
Once Mark and I established communications, he and Vanessa shepherded the deal along efficiently and professionally... Despite my ignorance of the requirements for buying a car outside the People's Republic, they made it easy.
The only sour taste was due to the fact that we can track a $5.00 Amazon order in near real time from anywhere in the country, but nailing down the location of a $65k car must be classified TOP SECRET, EYES ONLY, NEED TO KNOW.
Kate, Vanessa and my local dealer told me what they knew, but that information had huge gaps in it. It seems that GM could do a much better job providing information to their customer contact folks so an anxious buyer can track the location of their pride and joy.
That aside, the car is simply stunning, and my current task is to put 500 miles on it so the RPM limit goes away.
Thanks to Mark, Vanessa and Kate for an excellent transaction.

It worked very well when I ordered my 2014 (and tracked the car all the way from the rail head in Toledo to the rail head near my delivering dealer) but I believe that tracking service was ended a year or two later, due to the abuses I mention above

So far the only "mods" are the transparent roof along with Lloyd's and BlockIt mat sets, extended mud guards, behind the screen compartment divider and Novistretch bra.. Unlikely I'll do much more than that as the car is intended for GT cruising with only an occasional track day.
Am looking for information and quotes for protecting it with Xpel and/or ceramic coating. Will research CF and perhaps start another thread if questions remain.
I did get a Union Pacific tracking number, but needed a "membership number" to access their database... Still pretty lame IMO...
Cheers!
Jim
