Default Goodbye.........

It is with mixed feelings that I say goodbye to all my CF friends. On Saturday, my Laguna Blue C7 Z51 vert will be sold. It was a difficult decision to let her go but economics and circumstances convinced me to sell. With retirement looming and a recent layoff, (I won't mention 2 knee replacements and an ankle replacement in the past 2 years) I told my wife of my decision to sell. She said all of the right things, but at 61 I have to grow up and let go.
I have been fortunate enough to own a c5 vert, a c6 vert, and the best of all my c7 vert. And I have been fortunate to enjoy the wisdom and entertainment of this forum. For that I thank you all. I will continue reading the forum (I seldom posted) and enjoying pics and stories so please keep the pics coming. And think of a certain forum brother who will be living vicariously through you.

Tim

Your wife is very wise and thoughtful!

We shall see you around campus?

*Good luck, Sir.*

Many thanks,

Ray

So long, you made a wise but tough decision based on your circumstances, plenty more to enjoy in life.

Sorry to hear that Tim! One of the best things about retirement is having the freedom to drive your Corvette a lot more, so hopefully you'll be back into one again someday.

Tim - wishing you the best in your post Corvette life. I know it is a tough decision and perhaps a nice sporty larger vehicle will help fill in the vacancy.

Sorry to hear that. You are a stand up guy. And you never posted any BS, or nasty comments about others. Thank you, and who knows maybe you'll be driving another some day.

Good luck, Tim, hope the joint replacements work out well. I probably have some of those in my future, too, at which time the M7 may have to hibernate for awhile.

I know how you feel - did pretty much the same thing this spring. Sold my 09 Z and I sure miss her. Hopefully someday we will get over it or get another. It's not easy doing the right thing but that's what good people do.

Default Much appreciated

Sorry to see you go, I fully understand (I am 64, neck fused, back might be next, five knee operations) your situation and I take the opportunity
to drive mine knowing I might be in that situation at some time in the future. Take care and enjoy the future knowing you made the right choice
not only for yourself but your spouse as well, And you never know what the future holds.

Best of happiness and health in your upcoming retirement. I respect your tough decision. You will be at peace with your decision as time goes on. It was the right one for YOU.
Stay with us on the forum. Who knows, maybe someday a nice lightly used vert will be in your future!
