Default Wheel question

So, I'm sure this question has been asked specifically but I was unable to track it down with respect to the C7 platform and how it behaves with specific wheel types so, here I am asking.

I am considering a set of aftermarket wheels for my C7Z. I'm leaning heavily towards forged wheels since that seems to be the consensus here on the forums. However, are flow formed, rotary forged or any other terminology used to describe the process, a bad idea for the car? The car is largely street driven but I do plan to track it once or twice a year at HPDE events. Frankly, saving a few (more than a few) bucks on a flow formed or rotary forged wheel seems great versus some of the prices I've seen on these forged wheels. Don't get me wrong, I can buy a set of forged wheels but, I'm concerned about overkill for my application. Thanks!

Only quality genuine fully FORGED wheels... all else are derivative processes and not as strong. You get what you pay for in this regard, imho. All the best!
