Default Convertible top cleaning?

My convertible top was exposed to tree sap today. Approximately 6-8 weeks ago I had cleaned/protected the top with Raggtopp cleaner and protectant. If I clean again with Raggtopp cleaner to remove the sap do I also need to reapply the protectant? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I use 303 protectant after each cleaning but I only really deep clean

the top maybe three times a year.

Thanks for the response. I really hadn’t planned to do another deep cleaning until Spring. However, I’m concerned about the tree sap. I can feel the sap on the paint but do not see or feel any sap on the top. For peace of mind guess I should go ahead and do complete cleaning.

I agree. 303 is the best.Used it on my C5 Verte regularly. Water and debris beads right off. The key is covering your windshields and rear hatch glass as depicted in this post. Spray the 303 on your convertible top, work it in gently with a slightly damp sponge, let it dry, remove the protective covering, and, you are good to go.

Thanks for the response and suggestion. I use the RaggTopp cleaner and protectant with good results. Will consider 303 when I use up the RaggTopp product.

Why is it essential not to get 303 on glass. Difficult to remove?
