Default Interior part problem

Back in April I purchased a 2014 3LT C7 from a Chevy dealer in Comanche Tx. The car had only 50 miles on it and had never been titled. Because of the age the dealer sold it as a certified car. Once I got it home and drove it a little, I noticed a few issues with the interior. I dropped it off at my local dealer in Denton, Tx (north of DFW) and they fixed everything except the drivers side panel. They ordered a door panel but as of today, the part is still not here and no one seems to give me any idea on when it will come in. The door panel is in brownstone. Does anyone have a contact with GM parts that I might be able to reach out to? Or any suggestions on how to get this one panel. I’m usually pretty patient, but a 5 month wait on a part seems excessive.

Default Door panel

Ask your dealer to put you in touch with the regional manager, give him your VIN and ask him to put in a SPAT case which tells GM that the car is in the shop and that should expedite the door panel delivery.

I don't believe any parts are moving from GM parts depots while the strike continues.

For what it is worth, there seems to be a lot of Vette parts "back ordered," and the strike cannot help matters.

I agree that waiting 5 months for a part is ridiculous. The only positive is you can still drive the car while waiting for the panel to arrive. Hopefully the strike at GM will be resolved soon and parts availability will improve.

There are no parts coming from the distribution centers until the strike is over, The only exception is if a vehicle is down, or if it is a commercial vehicle that is down. **** cases will not ship unless it meets those criteria.

Yes, considering the strike, you're probably just going to have to be patient. Have you tried any of the forum parts suppliers who 'may' have the panel in stock? Zip Corvettes, GM Trunk Monkey, GM Parts Direct etc?

By the way, what was the reason the dealer stated as to never selling the 5 year old 2014 C7?
