I'm not sure where you are getting your info, but 12/2 is the first week of production. There will be a few weeks of quality control hold and then there is the two week shutdown for the holidays so it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't start shipping till January. As far as a dealer having one under cover...no. If for some strange reason they had one, there would be no need to keep it covered since it is now after announcement.
Besides the ones on display at the museum during the caravan, there were at least 5 others parked out in the public parking area. All but 1of them had EX vins, the 1 that didn’t had vin #011. In addition, all the EX vin cars had manufacturer plates but the 011 car had Kentucky dealer plates on it.
