Today I decided to stop by my local dealer Stonebrier Chevy in Frisco, Tx.
First they would not even walk out to my car inside the covered service drive I had to go inside to their A/C cubical. (must have been too hot or inconvient for them).
When I inquired on the performance sepension upgrade and the street alignment on my 2017 base C7 no one had a clue. And I mean no-one. When I mentioned the car was a Corvette the look on their faces was like a deer in headlights. this is a large dealership.
Stay away unless you want to be their badly treated Beta tester.
So, does anyone have actual experience on these two upgrades as to who is the best dealer in the Plano/Frisco area to get these done correctly?
Thanks all.

Stonebriar has been my dealership for over 12 years - through 3 Avalanches and now my Corvette. Only had an oil change on the Vette so far. I’ve generally had good experience there. I think maybe you just had an off day. Btw, I have no idea what ‘suspension upgrade’ and ‘street’ alignment mean either.
The suspension upgrade is the software improvements that relate to the mag shocks and other electronic suspension modules. All 2019's have this upgrade from factory, older Corvette can have the software installed for $350.
The street alignment refers to a alignment that is friendly to tires, less wear when driven on the street vs the track.
I almost bought my Corvette from Stonebrier but they would not budge on their price. 3 weeks after I purchased my present Corvette they sold it for thousands less than I originally offered them!
I have also heard that Classic is the go to place but since Stonebrier was just down the street I thought I'd just drop in and ask about the above items.
So Classic is going to be it.

Good info. I ordered mine from Criswell (Md) and took delivery at the Corvette Museum in KY. But I’ll stick with Stonebriar for service. Plano to Grapevine for service would be a non-starter. The other option in Plano would be Huffines.
I’ve heard the upgrade is not worth the $$$ unless you are a competitive tracker. The street alignment is definitely worth it if you do do not track the car and want more miles out of your tires. So do you autocross or not? If you don’t, skip the minor upgrade and get the alignment. If you are a serious track jockey, get the upgrade and skip the alignment.
Stonebriar Chevy's customer service sucks. I've taken my 'Vette to them for oil changes numerous times after scheduling appointments. Needless to say, they always take at least 90 minutes to 2 hours to change the oil. And, I always have to go inside after pulling into the service bay. They rarely come out to greet you. Instead, I go in and wait until somebody acknowledges me being there. The last time I took it in, I waited for nearly 3 hours. The service rep asked if I wanted a free car wash. I told him "no" because I wash it myself. When I inquired what was taking so long, he told me that they were washing it even though he wrote down that I rejected the wash. I was so ticked. Waste of my time.
I bought my wife's Tahoe from there. I must have walked around the lot and inside the showroom for 20 - 30 minutes looking for a salesman to help. I asked one guy if he was busy, he told me that he was with someone. No offer to get me an available salesman. I asked another and he sold me the car. To be fair, they don't circle like sharks when you're on their lot. But, their customer service still sucks!

On my 2017 Grand Sport, the suspension "update" made a huge difference IMO... especially in TOUR mode that I use 95% of the time. The ride improved noticeably (far more compliant), and I have no regrets paying the $350 to have had it done.

Ok yeah just trying make sure you meant the software change.
I'm already familiar with the street alignment situation. There has been a few threads on it in the past.
I'll try and contact Clasic and talk to a service advisor and set up a time to take it in. If they answer all my questions to my satisfaction I'll go with them for the needed service.
I have no actual experience with them, but my brother has a C5 and he does with Corvette World in Dallas. He took me there when I visited and I was impressed with their shop, they employees I talked to and their prices seemed reasonable. They seem to know what they are talking about and I saw some of their work. If my brother likes them, I know I would use them if I needed.

You say you have taken your Vette numerous times to Stonebriar yet you complain about the wait time and also complain about them washing your vehicle even after you told them not to.
My question to you is why do you keep going back to them if you are not happy with the service you receive? I'm sure they are not the only place you can get your Vette serviced in your area.
What are the street alignment specs? On the C6 you could down load the Phaft (sp) Specs. and bring them to the dealer. They had street, auto cross, and track specs. I think.
I made sure to make friends with the service manager and the tech where I go. They treat me great yet 3 people have said they didn't care for the service there.

You've "heard" that? So you didn't actually do it, right? I did and it's worth every penny. The ride is COMPLETELY different. I use Tour Mode most frequently and it went from jumbling and rattling over railroad tracks to smooth as silk. I use a terrible road off the ferry boat in Seattle that is full of patches, metal covers, various changing pavements, railroad tracks, and general disarray. After the change it feels like a new asphalt road. It did loosen up the steering to the point it was scary, but I forced the steering to "Sport" and that issue cleared right up. I couldn't be happier with the change.
Playing the odds, size of dealership isn't the telling factor, not by a mile! Find one that actually sells AND services Vettes ON A REGULAR basis. Even then, it's still a crap-shoot waaaaay too often. but true.
