Which spring do I need? (leaf spring went bad/popping noise)

So my 2015 Z06 w/Z07 has a bad front spring. The car was making a popping noise and I found the end of the spring is splitting badly. So I need to order a replacement. Which spring is the correct replacement:

22892342
Leaf Spring CORVETTE; W/ Z06; RIDE & HANDLING
or
84144987
Leaf Spring CORVETTE; W/ Z06; HEAVY DUTY

I have attached a pic of the bad spring for reference in case anyone else comes across this thread with the same issue. The symtoms started about a year ago with an occasional popping noise making tight turns in parking lots. Now a year later it makes a lot of popping or creaking noises when coming to a stop at a stop sign. The problem was difficult to diagnose!

Z07, I would think would be "heavy duty." But, that is just my logic. Now, THAT is a scary picture! I'm glad you found it in a timely fashion!

I am guessing the dealer you order the spring from will need your Vin# so the correct spring will ordered. The Vin# should tell dealer & GM what the car came with.

I agree with the above two posts - seems like the Z07 would be the heavy duty spring and the dealer should be able to tell you what the car came with using the VIN.
