Question from a former C1 owner who wants to move up to a C7: Do ALL C7's with manual trans have Rev Matching as a standard feature or is it an option? Do all C7's have it beginning with 2014?
Yes all manual C7s have it. You can turn it on or off via the paddles behind the steering wheel. Just be aware it defaults to off, thus every time you start the car you need to turn it back on. It's an awesome feature... I love it. The system perfectly rev matches regardless of which gear (up or down) you select, even if you skip a gear.
My 2017 Stingray 7M has it. I was not too keen on it at first and did not use it very much........but after awhile, I really started to like it. Now I turn it on every time I take my car out for a spin.
I have driven manual trans cars for decades and consider myself reasonably competent at matching revs up and down the gears.
IMO the ARM system is a great addition, especially since the driver can choose to use it or not.
As posted, it has been a standard feature on all C7 M7s.
I'm another one of those guys.. (raced IMSA, SCCA Gt3,2,1... know how to H&T) I thought, meh... man was I wrong... It's fantastic. If I were not getting a C8, I'd actually install a circuit that automatically turns it on when the car is started. Now it's almost automatic. Get in, seat belt, start car, turn on ARM... (but automatic would be even better... )
