Navigation screen motor
I was operating the nav screen as normal opened it using the open button. When I then tried to close the screen using the screen button it attempted to close but when it reached the top the screen looks slightly crooked and then there is a loud clicking sound that sounds like a gear is slipping. The sound continues even after I turn the car off and does not seem to stop. I had to disconnect the battery in order to get the clicking to stop.
This happened somewhat randomly on a 2014 C7. I have not had any other troubles with the navigation screen other than this. Is there a way to perform a reset or re-calibrate it somehow? Has anyone else had this problem?
I fear that the dealership's fix is going to be to replace the entire screen which I really don't want to do.
Please help!

For some reason I don't think that's going to help. I could be wrong, though . . . .

Just like faulty activators for C5 headlights... probably recycled for the C7 screen/hidy-hole cover.

And that's the condensed Reader's Digest version of the app right?
