0-60 timer, 2014 Stingray

OK, I have looked through the owner's manual and unless I just missed it, how do you get the 0-60 timer to work? I have gone to the performance screen on the instrument cluster and it says the timer will start when the accelerator is pushed, but the timer does not start. Is there something else I have to do? I have a 2014 Stingray 2LT.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
