Mufflers

Like to get a little better sound from my C7 Stingray . Can you recommend something that does not cost $2500.00 ?

Corsa and Borla are popular. I have the former in the Xtreme version and couldn’t be happier. Search “exhaust.” There are countless threads that will give you better insight...

Edit: Also, check out X-pipes. The tone will not change much, but the volume will increase.

$500 for an X-pipe which would increase the volume by maybe 20% max overall but significantly increase volume at WOT.

~$500 for a muffler shop to fab up a muffler delete and weld on aftermarket exhaust tips. Will significantly increase volume, maybe a bit too much but if you like it loud...

Muffler delete set up. Around 500 including custom tips. Sounds about like a c5 with b&b bullets but way less drone.

Keep checking the C7 Parts for Sale Section for a used aftermarket exhaust. They do come up from time to time and you could save quite a bit of money over a new system.

Does X pipe replace mufflers or are they in front of mufflers ? What does WOT stand for ?

Here is the flow: engine > headers > cats > x pipe (mid pipe) > mufflers > tips

I went with an x-pipe, as mentioned it increases the volume (loudness) slightly, 10-20% is a good approximation.

WOT = wide open throttle
