Default Error Code P0300

Is PO300 error code for random misfire covered under powertrain warranty? My C7 2016 has 3000 miles but it passed the started 3/36. Thanks !

Might not be. However, it might be worth asking whether it might be covered due to the low mileage. It could be a loose spark plug wire. When do you get the code? The dealer's scan tool can read the history file which can show where the misfires are occurring. With my P0300 code I saw the misfire was occurring on cylinder 8 at about 5200 rpm at wide open throttle. When the failure was logged it showed there were 64 misfires on that cylinder. All I felt was some sluggishness in how the car accelerated above 100 mph.

I certainly hope it's not the same as my failed AFM lifters in bank7, but yes, covered. My 16 had 7200 miles, happened during the last week of the bumper to bumper, but dealer said powertrain would have also covered it. Almost 4 weeks now, GM on stike, parts are scarce. Full disclosure, I don't know my code number

Just started yesterday. Car runs rough on hidle and skips when driving. Car has not been driven in two months, so I was initially thinking it was stale fuel.

Funny, I had the same thought. Trailered it to Corvettes at Carlisle, came home, unloaded, parked for 2 weeks. Reloaded, tailered to a show in Bowling Green, came home. Unloaded, and it started running rough. Figured crappy old gas. But it got worse and some faint knocking started. Took it to the dealer, as my tech was starting to check on the knock and rough idle, it went to hell. Lucky it was already at the dealership

Yep, 5 yr/60 K powertrain warranty so your car should still be in warranty for that. Check with the dealer as to what is causing the error code and go from there. Hopefully it is something that would be covered.

Now it's showing a P050D. Hmmm, could have a leak somewhere with P0300 and P050D. Already schedule dealer service ..

i had that on my 2017 z06. it happened only once. 3000 miles later still gone. misfires always happen. maybe it was one to many. but its hard to troubleshoot a problem that is no longer there.

I got this code about 5 months back and took it to the dealer, it was covered under the factory 5 year warranty (mine is a 2015). The dealer replaced all the injectors.
