So I have had this car for the last 500 of the 8500 miles the car has on it. Its got a K& N Intake but otherwise bone stock and its a rocketship compared to the 2003 Z06 I sold to buy this one . But the throttle response is at least a second behind the power unless I'm riding the revs around 2500 rpm and then its like immediate response. And the paddle shift , I have learned , is like 700 rpm behind the actual shift taking place so its something that I learned to anticipate and part of a single clutch operation.. So my question is, is this normal? I still have 2 months on GM warranty. And if it is normal , which is no big deal, are there some ways to increase throttle response throughout the power band, like maybe ported throttle body or something that won't void warranty ( got extended Allstate for 10 years and don't want to void it) And if there is no good way to fix throttle lag without voiding the warranty, what are some ways to fix this without opening up the motor... Tunes maybe? Exhaust? I really dont want to modify this beast but it would be nice if there were some simple solutions. And a preemptive thanks to the helpful people who always chime in and a F#@K you to the haters that could find negativity in an orgasm, and seem to try to **** on some posts just because, well, they are ********......... 😁. And I lover this car , its ******* awesome !!!!! PBIR is my local track and it kicked *** there, no overheat , but definitely needs a set of Hoosiers or track tires to put the horses on the ground and keep them there..... But what a ride..... If you dont smile every time you get in it than you shouldn't own one..... Peace
bought both. sent email to mike. should be here mid week. ...also wasnterd ti mention something . 90% of my time in this car is on there road and an occasional track day , but a respectful one, dont want to beat her up. I race shifter karts for the abusive driving and can drive the **** out of a car but I read so many th8ngs here about what the XZ06 8A is not. And no its not a full time race car stock, but for a small investment it comes out like 1/3 the price of the closest competitor in Porsche or Ferrari and ****, 95 % of the owners of these beasts are like me We love bad *** ******* Corvettes that haul ***, have a/c. , stop on. dime, have awesome suspension, and after selling my 03 Z06😭 im gonna take the other side of the argument and be positive as hell cuz this thing is by far the most awesome car I have ever purchased. And for anyone reading this post dont be discouraged but the guys who put the car on the track often, hell, they still get a ******* bargain over the closest competition and bitch bitch bitch about Chevy shortcomings. Its bullshit ! This is an awesome piece of America folks, the real deal, and for a daily driver or weekend car that puts out close to 700 HP off the showroom floor and runs in the 10 's closer to 9;s in the quarter mile, with cold air and the windows up and the radio booming, , well come on .. While people complain here, other people will never even get in one and would pay for the chance to get behind the wheel. Just some perspective... Report will be posted on results of the new throttle body and programmer next week. Also got a set of BC Forged MonoForged Rims. Should be on car in the next 2 weeks. Ask for Cole at BC Forged if you need anything , especially fitment questions and check out there line of wheels. They are sick.. thew ride with factory wheels BC Forged. Should be installed next 2 weeks.
if any one is interested in purchasing the original wheels 20 x 12 rear and 19 x 10 fronts ,with the tires or without, they are flawless and have a ton of tread and will be available after next week. No reasonable offer refused.. Need the garage space
