I have not, but this forum vendor has what looks like a nice solution. https://www.sandyeggodesigns.com/pro...-utility-tray/

I put a foam can-insulator into the OEM holder and it now holds everything tightly. It will not, however, keep the entire cup holder from falling out for those that are loose ones.

There's also a unit from "Stop Flop" here, Search should find that for you.
Or someone posted a link to fleabay for the little rubber inserts that fit into the stock holes but accommodate most size cans/bottle. We bought them.
Just like the C6 came from the factory, so the C7 is a step backwards in that respect.

Try this first, worked for me, and it cost less than $5.

1 inch felt pads purchased from a home improvement chain store.

I used 3 pads for each side. That was enough to secure water bottles, etc. Place them as high as you can, while still allowing the cover to close.

These work perfect , just pop them in , once installed you will know even know they are there . Stops the center divider from popping out also

I bought those, too, and they work well.

I was going to say, maybe Velcro pads to hold the center plastic piece securely but the felt pads look like they work well.
