I got to say my Chevy dealership, Bryner Chevy, treats me better than my Euro cars dealerships, not that they are bad, because they are not, but my Chevy dealership is REALLY, REALLY GOOD. Because I am the type of person that would tell you if they sucked.
Have always have excellent service from my Chevy dealership. I had great experiences with chevy dealers when I had service and repairs when out of town
I got a low ball offer for my corvette from a Porsche dealership. I wasn't even mad. Being low-balled there felt 100x better than being pampered in a GM dealership.
My Dealership, Jerry's Chevrolet Weatherford Texas, has always ben GREAT and done excellent work including properly draining/filling dry sump oil changes!
Basically everytime I run into issues. We have a lexus and a toyota and the difference between dealers is night and day.
Makes me never want to buy another GM product.
It is highly likely the owner of the Toyota/Lexus shop also owns a Chevy dealership. Take the car to the Chevy dealership he owns. Service quality is a feature of the individual owner not the brand of the car. Manufacturers have little control over dealer practices.
I will say that my Lexus dealer is second to none. Everyone else plays catch up to those guys. My Toyota dealer was really good when I used them, better than any others except Lexus. The domestic guys are just not to that level yet and may never be. Sad but true, I expect the domestic guys to be a step down from the Lexus guys but to be fair Henna Chevrolet here in Austin, and Mark Wilson in particular along with Jay, have been great to deal with. They've treated me well and I really have no issues. Over the years I've had some poor dealer experiences but not with my Vette...so far anyways.
29 years 11 months of Corvette ownership - more than 800,000 miles total... (91K+ on my '15 C7) - great dealer service in Texas, Oklahoma, California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Tennessee, West Virginia, New York, Florida, and Virginia.
BMW, Porsche, MB, and Ferrari - service all good but very expensive.....
Haselwood Auto Group in Bremerton. Been going there over 25 years for service, yet never bought a car from them. Always exceptional service with special pampering for the Corvette. I've always been fairly treated.
I had very pleasant dealership experience at Don Mealey in Clermont (Orlando), FL. It wasn't the first Chevy dealership I visited and I'll do business with them again. I can't say the same for the local Bentley dealership. Anyone want to buy a Bentayga?
I bought my last three Corvettes at MacMulkin but don't live there so no service from them. My local Chevy dealer that I have had to use for warranty work is not good. Headlights replaced on my C6, car came back with the bumper clips all broken and misaligned. My other C6 had both rockers cracked due to them jacking up car with no pucks when I specifically left them on the front seat. Numerous other times things were not right after I left specific instructions to not do this or that. They just don't care. Now with my new GS my first two oil changes are free but I did the first one so far on my dime because I won't even let them do that.
Oh Boy, I'm guessing here but your local dealership may feel a little "chapped" at the idea of you buying a new Corvette elsewhere ( I'm assuming price was the reason) & bringing the car to them for warranty service
