You can pair 2 devices (phones) with bluetooth. True on my 2014 and 2019. Only one connection is active at a time.

u figure they would be a to be more than one active at one time when we travel would like to have wife phone to answer on the radio too didnt know if there was a way to do it now

You can connect to one media device and one phone device at the same time, but not 2 media devices or 2 phone devices at the same time.
