Default Windshield sunshade

I am looking for a windshield sunshade for my 2017 GS. Being in South Florida can result in a lot of sun when it is parked for a while outside. I searched the forum and could not find what I was looking for.
I think I want a foldable. I do not want to have to fold down the visors or add any straps. I do not want any graphics. It has to be installable while I am sitting in the drivers seat. Does anyone have a sunshade that meets my requirements? I have tried others over the years and have ended up not using them.

Try Covercraft UVS100. Check out their website.

I had one for my c6 and liked it. I'll probably get the c7 model at some point.

You do have to fold down the car sunvisors to hold the sunshade in place though.

I bought a generic two piece fold-able from AutoZone. It was cheap and does the job for me; it's nothing fancy.

I went from driving a Genesis Coupe to the C7. The funny thing is the sunshade for the Genesis fits perfect in the C7! Completely covers the dash. Go figure!

Get a cheapo twist up silver fabric sun shade from Costco, Wal Mart, amazon, etc. When it falls apart and all of them do, you're out $10 maybe. Want a ego booster? Then buy the $100 accordion one with screen printed logo. When it falls apart and it will, you are out a hundred bucks. Good news there? You can legitimately complain about $100. Nobody will listen to you bitch about $10.

We have been using the Covercraft brand sunshades in all of our vehicles for years. Not one has ever failed or came apart. You get what you pay for in this instance.

I use a roll up Auto Heat Shield. To keep it in place I had to use some velcro on the edge of the headliner where it bends to met the windshield because the tabs at the top are too short for the tiny sun visors to do any good.

I tired a foldable... my experience was that it doesn't unfold easily in the small C7 cockpit. I kept hitting the mirror or center console. Plus folding it back up gave me flashbacks of trying to fold a paper map. Due to its stiff nature even when folded its difficult to store since you can't force it into a smaller space. Returned it after a few days of frustration. The roll up one was just easier for me to deal with daily.

If you are a Costco member, this woks well at keeping interior temps down and the relentless Sun off the dash

Coverking Custom Windshield Sunshade
https://www.costco.com/coverking-cus...100351558.html

Sometimes on sale for about $25

Curiously, mine fit well initially, but after my Windshield was replaced (delamination - warrantied), ti kept falling out of place and setting off the interior motion alarm.
I remedied the annoyance by using a couple of old plastic ID cards wedged into the headliner when the shade is in use.

Another vote and recommendation for the Covercraft USV custom fitted sunshade. I believe they also private label manufacture it for Chevrolet as the factory sun shades too. I like them so much I always have one for all the cars we own. Been using them for more than thirty years. They're more expensive than the cheapie ones but they fit and look a lot better too.

I too used that sun shield when I had my C5s. Excellent product - never fell apart on me.

i have a Covercraft UVS100 is very high quality and fits great. Its well insulated which really reduced the amount of heat in the interior.

I agree. I have the custom made Covercraft foldable for my daily driver Acura. It works well but bulky and not easy to fold up inside of the car. The silver material is also flaking off from age and use and has become an issue.
For the Corvette I got the WeatherTech custom made roll up. I paid extra for the black storage sleeve which actually looks pretty sharp when stored in the Corvette. Works well and eventually I will order the WeatherTech roll up for my Acura. I am able to tuck the upper end of the WeatherTech against headliner and windshield without much effort. But I do need to pull EZ pass off to make this happen.

I have this one and it looks and works great:

Nice and sturdy - and the C7 logo is a nice touch.

also have one for the Z-71 truck. It may cost more than the others but it's the ONLY sunshade you will buy for the car.

Live in Illinois where it might snow in Oct and not worry about it. Covercraft does make very good products.

This appears to be a Covercraft made, private label sunshade for Chevrolet. You can purchase one cheaper than what Chevy charges for it.

It may be, looks just like it. The one from Covercraft is $83 at the website, the Chevy with C7 logo $99, neither price including taxes or shipping. Occasionally you get a coupon from Chevy mall for either free shipping or discounted price. Honestly i don't mind paying the extra $16 +/- to get the C7 logo on it. Either way it's a good product!

Good to hear. I was thinking of picking up a Weather Tech for my truck.

FYI - I put my SunPass (same thing as EZ pass) on the rear hatch glass - problem solved

I bought a two-piece, spring loaded foldable set from Walmart Supercenter. The Grey to the outside ones. I'm good with it now for years.

The C7 has such a massive amount of space due to the windshield rake, (see below photo: C3 vs C7)

you might check the ones for pickups. Mine is for cars, and it doesn't totally reach the inside edges of the windshield.

This for $15 on Amazon is as good as, or better than, most other options. As a plus it folds flat and fits nicely behind the passenger seat.
