It's ~$100 you can put toward just about any customer-pay item at a dealership (parts, service, accessories, new vehicle) or additional items like OnStar & data plans. I put mine toward the battery tender, so it only cost me ~$27 after tax.
You can redeem the voucher at the My GM Rewards website (www.mygmrewards.com), but you have to take it in to the dealership to actually use it (except for on items like OnStar and data plans).
When I purchased my corvette last week, I ended up with “21000 points”. Are they worth anything in buying accessories/parts? Thank you
You will end up with 27,000 points when all is said and done. That's what I wound up getting after buying my GS 3 months ago. 1000 for going paperless, 1000 for hooking up GM rewards with GM financial (if you have a loan) 1000 for this and 1000 for that etc..I don't know what that 5,000 points was for as I never had anything fixed on the car other than having the dealer put some expel on the car before delivery but that was not thru GM. I bought the car on AUG 2 and had the points by Aug 13 as you can see.
This past June, GM had a special for Father’s Day when you got double the dollars for the same amount of points if you used them to purchase accessories.
