I was thinking the same thing.. after some research its held in place by some 3M tape pads... Not a positive enough fastening system for my application.

I can imagine going over a big bump and having your roscoe fly out and bounce around the interior of the car.
Keep it on your person or lock it up.

I used two strips of 30lb Gorilla mounting tape. Not the 3M that came with it.
