I just bought my C7 6 days ago on a whim, and I hadn't really grasped that this was my last chance to buy a new C7 at the time. I went back to the dealer yesterday to sign some more papers, and they only have 2 left. Reading that production has ended really brought it home. Glad I got mine, it's a great machine.
I love my C7 Z06.
Very rare here in the UK.
When the C8 arrives here in 2021 it will have the steering wheel on the right hand side ,and an automatic gearbox, and a price estimated to be well north of $100,000 ,and thats for the Stingray.
Corvettes should always have the wheel on the left and for me anyway a manual gearbox.

I agree with what so many of you have said....I'm glad I have my C7. IMHO, it is a much better looking Corvette than the C8. I will admit that GM did a great job of designing the C8 to look like some European cars, but the C7 looks like a natural progression of the vettes that came before. As far as the C8 being able to go from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, I couldn't care less. I am extremely happy with my C7 and plan to keep it for many years to come.
It just seems like just yesterday I was riding my bike along 47th and Sandy Blvd in Portland during the 2013 Vet parade and saw my first C7. I didn't sleep well until I had one myself. It was in the parade with a lot of C6s. I saw the C7 and thought it was some type of exotic. I didn't have Corvettes on my mind at that time, but the minute I saw it I told my wife to start cleaning out the garage!
It has been the best car I have owned and glad I have it until I get my next one, which will be the C8 Z06.

I’m glad it was the second shortest production run of all the generations and the last of the front engine, m/t and I got mine! At this point the C8 isn’t very appealing to me. I rather go from this c7 Stingray to a c7 m/t z06 than the C8.
I always loved my C6. I ordered it just the way I wanted and it was likely going to be my last Corvette. This year I had a health scare and decided **** it......I’m going to get a C8. The more I thought about it, I decided I would not buy before year 3 due to the major platform changes. So it was a new C7 for me. I knew it would be awesome, but to say my expectations were exceeded is an understatement. This car is soooooo fine. I love it.
Thanks. I'm always on the look out for a low mileage 2003 or 2004 Z06 to add to the stable. I would then add my other favorite CCW wheel, the SP 500. Something like this...
you and me both haha. This was my ‘03 Z. I had this sucker for 8 years and 90k miles (and a lot of abuse)... LOVED IT!
funny, I always said the next one would get 500’s too. Classic
From the very first time I saw the C7, I was awestruck by it’s beauty. Bought a ‘16 Z51, which I recently traded in for a ‘19 GS, and couldn’t be happier. Every time I go out to my garage, I smile just looking at that beauty. And it has the highest smiles per gallon of any car I’ve ever owned.
Six years is WAY too short of a life span for the C7. With it being such an amazing car, such a huge leap forward, it should have remained until 2022 and then have the 70th Anniversary Vette be the mid-engine launch. Very sad indeed because Im (sadly) unimpressed with the C8 (its interior is horrible).
Agreed...and lack of a manual transmission is a deal breaker for me. After a C3 (4-speed) and C5, (6-speed) and as of 2 months a C7 (7-speed)...I hope that I will be able to get another manual Vette going forward, but otherwise I'll be reluctantly switching to something else.
When the C7 first appeared I thought it was the best looking one since the C2. I told my wife that’s the new Corvette I’m going to buy. I have a 2019 and love it.
When I first saw the C7 I thought it was the best looking since the C2 and it was also called a Stingray for the first time since the C3. I was hooked then because I had wanted the Stingray ever siince it was a Sting Ray. If the C7 design had been skipped and the C8 design had been used instead I would likely have bought a used C3 instead of my 2014 Stingray.
