I decided it's time to quit tempting fate so l mounted my front plate (thanks, Texas). I removed this excuse for the DPS Troopers to stop me and check out my ride. I don't know if it will last!
Gotta do what you think is best but no matter how it is mounted it unfortunately distracts from the looks of the front end. I have been fortunate and have gone 11 years with no front plate and have never been ticketed.

I like this mount since its just one big bolt that extends out from the tow hook mount. Mount my tow hook there for track days then mount the front plate there for street driving. I love the way that it doesn't touch or mount to the car at all.
I got tired of the silly game playing with the cops. Flip plate up, flip plate down, dodge this town, dodge that town, etc. I put the Aero plate on and now drive anywhere worry free. Yes the car looks better without, but so would most cars. The law says I have to have taillights as well, but I see no one removing those if ugly.

I keep my Zip removable in the trunk--just in case. But I do see more and more high-end cars driving around with no front plate here in MN. The only ticket I personally know of was a friend who got one while parked!

We have a number of folks in our club ticketed. Many law agencies are getting tougher as they put in use new technologies which allow automatic high speed checking of front plates while the police are driving. I expect more states to reinvoke the front plate requirement because of this. What I am surpised hasnt happened yet is simply having transponders in cars that would transmit info to police cars as needed. Seems in this day and age would be simple to do and eliminate need for plates all together.
