We were considering TN, but didnt want the humidity and it still appeared the Vette would have to be stored a couple months. In the next day or two we are putting money down to build house in AZ. 70 today and can drive year round!!!!

There is a town in central FL called "Frostproof"... it was named that for a reason.
Down here in South FL its full of Ex-New Yorkers (my parents, my wife, half my co-workers) and Canadians - just warning ya. Plus we get hurricanes, have alligators and huge snakes in every backyard but worse of all you are forced to watch the Dolphin's play every Sunday. Now I've heard Arizona is nice, so maybe try there instead

That's why I said far south, Ft Lauderdale is not quite south enough. For me I would choose Marco Island. It has never snowed there. Or the keys, that's another area that'll never see snow. And Miami has only seen flurries at the most, and it was only once, so that's a safe bet too.

I'm not sure if trading light dustings of snow for devastating hurricanes is a win

The biggest danger in South Florida is on the interstates. Any interchange ramp that both rises in elevation and curves, right or left, causes the typically 95 mph blue haired Floridian speedmeister to slow to a 35mph crawl (in fear of centrifugal force pulling them off the ramp,) with flashing red light brakes (if they are working at all) in the space of 3 seconds. oh well, it's just that and 360 miles of straight line driving from SoFlo to the Georgia line. They don't call it God's waiting room for nothing.
yep, just sitting around in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops looking at stupid old ocean views all day every day, yawn.

LOVE, love, LOVE your view...unfortunately, that would consume all our planned retirement funds for that view so we settled for this:

Or you could do what I'm going to do starting in 2022, spend just the winters in Florida (when hurricane season is over) and then spend the rest of my time up here in Ontario. Best of both worlds (our summers are very comfortable up here and no hurricanes)

100% accurate. It took me twice as long to drive into work today because it was raining. Nothing but people tapping their brakes for no apparent reason. I just don't get it.
Please stop posting pictures like that... I'm trying to keep my views clear of pale white Canadians in thongs
Well anything can happen once. I was only in grade school at the time but I remember it so clearly - everyone just stood outside starring at the sky, looking like this ->
Publix is slowly making its way north - Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
In exchange for Publix I've noticed NJ & DE have sent Wawa down to us

hmmm.... Freezing temps/ice/snow, yes admittedly not great (especially the older one gets). Now, lets look at quality of education colleges/universities, quality of medical care, culture, championship sports teams, political leanings ..... Thank you very much, i'll hibernate my vette and put up with the cold winters. I am not knocking anyone or anyplace, just simply crowing a bit that the northeast is world class but yes, we have cold winters and cannot drive our vettes year-round. If you find yourself feeling defensive about this paragraph, you are revealing your own insecurities.

Well we debated whether to move from PA to Texas, Arizona, South Carolina or S.W. Florida. Florida won and yes it's hot in the summer with everyday sunny and high around 93 and lows around 83. And yes we have an occasional threat of a hurricane and in the summer we may have a half an hour downpour any afternoon. But, from November to May it's still warm, maybe in the low 80's, lower humidity and beautiful sunny weather. This is when the "snowbirds" come down and this is also why our taxes are lower than any other state I mentioned. Plus, only here can I drive my Corvette every day of the year and where I can have my license plate say" Endless Summer".
