"...deeper concave." If I understand that correctly, unless it is a Forgestar marketing term, you are planning to equip a wide-body C7. Forgestar may be fine, but frankly I'd go with real forged wheels. Perhaps owners of these wheels will offer different advice. All the best, in any event.
Deeper concave is a term forgestar uses as they have two styles of concave wheels on the model im looking at. The deeper is more concave than the semi concave.
My car is not wide body but a z51 vert. You said you would go with real forged wheels. Does that mean forgestar are not real forged wheels? What do I look for in their marketing material and specs to assure they are forged quality wheels?
I have a set of CF5s for my C6 Z06 and a set of F14s for my C5 Z06. Happy with them and no issues. Forgestars are extremely popular amongst the autocross and track day folks. Go to a national level SCCA autocross and they’ll be the most widely used aftermarket wheel on Corvettes, due to their sizing and price point. On Forgestar’s website is a page explaining testing they have done and links to test reports. Lastly, they are owned by a parent company that also has Weld, MOMO, HiPer, CCW, and some other brands in their portfolio.

Forgestar wheels are “ Flow Formed” wheels. They are NOT a monoblock forged wheel. They are definitely stronger than a cast wheel and I have read hundreds of positive reviews on them. A forged wheel is different than a flow forged wheel. A forged wheel is stronger and more expensive than a flow forged wheel. Plenty of information on the forum describing the differences. I’m personally putting a forged wheel on my Z. Going with the BC Forged EH309 this spring.
I ran CF10s on my GT500 for several years with zero issues. And I ran them hard.
on the other hand, I've likely got a cracked rear wheel on my Z06 with only a few thousand miles.
I've had a set of F14s. . I must tell you that these are cheaply made. That's why there cheap in price.
Just look at the .50 cent center caps. Plastic with a glued on sticker. If you're looking for a cheap cost wheel then they are great for a small budget. I'd swing for a better quality wheel and you'll be much happier. Just my two cents.
