General Curtis LeMay.
Curtis Emerson LeMay was a general in the United States Air Force. LeMay is credited with designing and implementing an effective, but also controversial, systematic strategic bombing campaign in the Pacific theater of World War II. He served as Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965.

Drifting
The General had the ignition cover off so perhaps he had replaced the points and was adjusting the dwell. I'm not familiar with the Sun equipment he has connected to the engine. It's a cool series of photos! Thanks Mike!

For those who are not old enough to remember, the General was also George Wallace's VP running mate in the 1968 presidential election. He was a force to be reckoned with but did not televise well.

Congratulations to each of the new owners, three great looking cars. Love that pic of Shadow Gray with Kalahari with the door open. That you had both a Stingray and a Grand Sport being delivered with that combo is amazing. Also, the black with Spice Red is a great looking color combo. Merry Christmas to all.
