I found in my sales paperwork a document that indicated GM sold my Vette to my dealership on 9/11/19 with 5 miles on it. Could 9/11/19 possibly be my build date?

 

It doesn't sound like it. I'd bet it is prior to that.

You can always contact the museum and get some better info. I'd have to dig intro my paperwork to see where it shows that, I know mine and have every piece of paperwork. Not sure specifically which doc you are talking about without seeing it.

 

I can't say for sure because I'm only picking mine up tomorrow, but on some cars I've owned there was a sticker on the drivers side door jamb with the build date (along with some other info).

 

Call your dealer. Mine was able look it up very quickly. He told me GM refers to it as the "produced on" date.

Closer to that other date than I would have guessed :-) Nice that they were pretty responsive.

 

I don't think any paperwork you might have would show the build date. The door jam might have the month (don't actually remember) but definitely not the actual day. I'm pretty sure the only way you will see the build date is in the GMVIS report and it looks like this: Build date is at the very end.

Look under your seats. My passenger seat hid three build sheets, a pair of LARGE white ones and a standard-sized dark peach with a date on it.

(also, the sticker on the driver's door? Both are within two days of each other on my car)
