My vette won't start, had the charger on it, lights showed charged , but wouldn't start today. Its a 2015 LT1 coupe which I just purchased in October, probably original battery. checked voltage and only reading 10v, after tryin to start it, I think I have a dead cell. Any recommendations on a battery, should I stay with ACDELCO, or a Durolast or interstate. Chevy dealer wants $183. for ACDELCO
I've Bought/Sold/Warrantied a few hundred thousand batteries in my life and all considered the below is the one I will put in my GS when the time comes. It should run you around $150>$160.

Hendrick put a 42 month Delco in my 2014. I had it changed out August 2018 before it crapped out.

That is the battery I put in my car last spring when I replaced the original one.
ACDELCO. That is all I used in my 2004 and 2008 Corvettes. The 2004 never needed replacing before I bought the 2008. In the 2008 I replaced in 2013 and when I traded for my 2019 in 2018 it was still strong. When the battery in my 2019 Corvette needs replacing it will be ACDELCO I choose.
I did the ACDelco Gold as part of my 5-year freshening up to catch it before the factory battery failed. I let the dealer do it and it wasn't badly priced. $125 + $25 install.
Costco - Interstate AGM 42mo battery was $158, after returning my old battery with the $15 core I paid $143. Direct replacement, exact dimensions as the OEM battery.
Looking at the ACDelco site they list both an AC42 Professional part# 48HPG or the same thing with part# 48PG. The specs for both appear identical.
Anyone know the difference between them and which would be the correct replacement for 2015 Z51? Thank you.

I just replaced the battery in my 2015 stingray, I went to a chevy dealer and they used my vin# to get the part number its GM88865244 its a exact replacement, I put it in Friday and car started up fine. You can do the same, go to a dealer with your VIN
A comment about the OEM battery. The OEM battery in 2014 is a 36 month battery. AC Delco doesn't offer a 36 month battery anymore. It was replaced by a 30 month battery. AC Delco used to offer a 48 month battery. That is no longer available and has been replaced with a 42 month battery. Hendrick offered both batteries when I replaced, but I went with the 42 month. It is not an AGM battery. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought the AGM if it was correct for the Corvette. I don't know what came with newer years, but be aware, somewhere along the way Delco changed their warranty and the old OEM numbers may not apply.

i actually know the difference as I had this choice several months ago when I got a new battery from my dealer. The 48PG was 159 and the 48PGHR was 189. The PG has a higher CCA while the PGHR has a higher reserve. (HR meaning higher reserve) the PGHR cost more due to the thicker plates required for a higher reserve. Now as to which is more important higher reserve or more cranking power—- If you do not leave your car outside in very cold temps than higher reserve is more important due to the vast electronics of modern cars. The electronics part and higher reserve is right from AC Delco website.
