I feel you op. As a Texan I drive mine as much as possible as well as my other “fun cars”. If it’s raining too hard I do not drive my Z06 bc it’s far from stock and I’ll be in spin city lol. Water washes everything off as far as I’m concerned. My trackhawk is in the middle of a rebuild (I bought it wrecked as a salvage title) to specifically drive in rain or take to snow while having fun. It’s getting some go fast mods as well. I’ll have a fun daily for summer and occasional light rain (Z06) and one for year round (T-hawk). Either way guys we only live once and for a little while! Enjoy what we have while we have it 👍
To many people their, car.... no matter what it is...… it's their woobie ….. ( woobie ) their comfort blanket.. its the reason many will go ion the garage and just look at it, or look back at it when exiting it.. or just sit in it... It's a possession that rivals a pet, at times, or some other possession of comfort..
NO
To many, its not just a car. its a whole lot more than that.

I know for me the Corvette is a way of life. That's a lot more than "just a car". I guess I'm pretty pathetic!
Realistically what are you actually going to do to clean the undercarriage ? You going to crawl under there with a squirt bottle and a towel ? Go to a drive through car wash with an undercarriage spray ?
I really don`t care if you know any better on this Kevin. I`ve been under more cars than 95% of the posters on this forum added together.
Realistically, I'm not going to clean my undercarriage as it's not dirty because I don't drive the GS in the rain. I have two 4x4 Tacomas that are made for bad weather; why the heck would I drive my GS.
My point was that your statement that C7's undercarriages are getting cleaned by having filthy rain water splashed all over is ridiculous. As I stated earlier, if you think that is clean, you and I have a very different opinion as to what clean is.

You're certainly not alone. The huge number of people who visit the National Corvette museum each year is an example of that. Another example would be how many 'cars' have a dictated national museum?
I drove mine in the rain yesterday and it’s filthy. About to rain again and guess what? Yup I’m gunna drive it. When it clears up she’ll get a bath. It is just a car guys (at least to me).

That grille looks pretty easy to clean. The one on my Stingray not so much. I have a car with a grille like that coming to me pretty soon and I'll find out.

Yeah well if you don`t drive it then it wont get dirty. Brilliant.

If this is the test, Hondas, Subarus, etc. are also "a whole lot more than that" as well. Nearly every car has multiple successful forums which have been in existence for quite some time, as well as active enthusiasts.
Of course, if the C7 is your personal woobie there is nothing wrong with this - as there is nothing wrong with others acknowledging it is only a mass-produced automobile.
Not this again lol. I’m abt to make you guys cringe in a few seconds. Hold on...
I dont think anyone is cringing.... most know that some people take care of their car and some dont. Why some can drive a Corvette for 20 years and put 100,000 miles on it and still sell it for 20K, and others can drive a corvette for 20 years and put 100,000 miles on it and try and hope to sell it for 7 grand.
If all you have to drive is a Corvette, then you have to do what you have to do. Lots of people drive their car in the rain, it doesn't mean that they dont take care of it. If some of us have a choice, then its our choice.

I said " No matter what the car " ….it wasn't a test but if it was a reading and comprehension test.. well … you know.
