I just looked at a 2019 window sticker. It shows the auto transmission costs $1995.

Don't forget the gas guzzler tax on the Z's with automatics.

Should have been a sticker on the car or available to review options/costs. Alternatively you can still build a C7 on Chevy website.

Yeah, the dealer is right. Used to be, on past generations like the C5, the manual was an added charge.

Chevy'll do the best they can to honor your build order, but they are getting short of a few parts:

Should be a 2k discount for the headaches you are going to have during the ownership of the A8

Nothing to worry about. Some have had issues with the A8 shuddering. The majority have had no problem.

As you do not know about it, you do not have a problem.

Best not to . . . A lot of us have owned an A8 for years with no problem, but some did have problems. Lots of threads around, but in recent months they have largely been replaced by bent rims threads (GS and Z). For the record, I had 30K on my A8 with no problems before I traded on a GS.

A lot of folks forget about the $2K for the automatic when calculating the price increase for the C8. The actual MSRP base price increase is only $1K.

It is a prevalent enough issue that there is a sticky about it at the top of this forum. Click Here
If you have a GS or Z06, this thread is also worth a look in case you end up with a cracked or bent wheel. Click Here

Yeah, and when I orderd my C5 my getting a manual was a $600 option, So, I did okay on the C7. All marketing, nothing more... whatever is in demand goes up in price.
