I'm thinking about painting a few of the plastic parts in the engine bay. I found the DupliColor and ACDelco brands but not sure how close of a match they are. Has anyone used these and how close of a match are they? Anything better out there?
Here are some paint companies paint codes for Blade Silver that I found.
GM WA636R
PPG 919991
RM 82494
ShWIL 82606
I got paint codes off the web site www.paintref.com I bought some ACDelco touch up paint but I have not needed to use it yet ! So I can't comment how it matched. The web site mention is great for getting different paint codes for different manufactures. This is what I bought. Touch up won't work for you just showing what I did. Dave

I found that GM's medium pewter for C5's off quite a bit. I found something better but I still had to clear-coat and buff it even though it was noted as "gloss." So, as noted, you may have to experiment. One of the online color match companies might well do better. I've had good luck with Color-Rite for other vehicles. All the best!
Every review I have seen about that company has been that the paint is a spot on match.
Almost every review....Word to the not-so-wise.... Just be Dammmnn sure you have the Exact paint code....Then be Dammnn sure you spray the test card that comes in the box with it. Take that card out to the car and ensure it matches, if it doesn't only then will they do a remix, otherwise you're out of luck if you paint a part then notice the difference and complain.
You can order rattle cans of genuine GM touch up in rattle cans from any of the forum dealers.
I've purchased several cans from Gene Culley at Cultrag over the years. Never had a problem...

The AC Delco tube is a perfect match for Blade Silver. I bought a tube of that and a tube of Carbon Flash Metallic just in case, haven't needed the Carbon Flash yet, but I used the Blade Silver on a very small nick on the leading edge of my hood. I know exactly where the nick is/was, but even I can't find it.
