I have read others that have used an extension cable like the one linked below with a power switch and then ran it up behind the bottom of the dash and tied the Range with a zip tie there. That way it reduces the wear and tear of the cars port, you can just switch it off if the car will not be used for a while.
Merlin803, Besides pulling Range Device for the above test. I only pull device out of port once a year prior to vehicle inspection. So I don’t see any wear to car port or a concern about wear regarding port. I have newer version and haven’t noticed any power drain so I leave it plugged in to port besides above mentioned times.

This is all good information. I have used the Range in my 2019 GS and experienced battery drain if left in more than 2 days. I talked to Range and they have no idea other than it does occur in some cars. I have ordered the extension cable with the switch. Thanks to all of you for the discussion.
