Default Front camera/cold start coolant (2 questions)

Gents,

I must have hit a rock on my driver side front camera, the lens is cracked. Has anyone else dealt with this situation? I searched a bit but found one thread where someone kind of dug out the camera- but do I really have to remove the front bumper to replace it? I've noticed that the camera is upwards of $500 and ~$100 used? I have a 2017 and heard the 2019's were fitted with better cameras-so maybe just upgrade if it's worth it?

2- On cold starts I can hear the coolant (or some sort of liquid) running through the system. On my C6 this didn't seem normal and found that I had a small coolant leak but I got system codes for small leak and my engine temp would rise on idle. This isn't happening on the 2017 GS (2LT M7) but might be normal, would just like to see if anyone else has wondered the same thing.

Thank you for any help on either of these questions.

front camera-no comment

coolant- I don't hear the coolant at startup. I would open the reservoir (when cold) top it off, turn on the heater, then run the engine with it open.
After a full heat cycle check the reservoir again, top off if needed and put the cap back on.

The bumper has to come off to replace the camera. I haven't seen any evidence that the cameras were improved during production.

I have read in other threads that the coolant sound is normal. I hear it in mine as well. The sound has been there since new, and hasn't caused any issues yet.

The coolant noise is the oil in the dry sump oil tank being moved around. This applies to any of the dry sump cars Z51, Z06, & GS Cars. No problems, normal Corvette noise.

I've only heard that the backup camera was slightly improved in later years, I haven't heard of any changes to the front cameras. As mentioned, the sound behind the dash on startup is oil flowing through the dry sump system.

Great responses, thank you for easing my mind on the start up dry sump movement.

As far as the front camera, anyone ever do this before? Maybe just replace the lens on it? This may turn into a DIY with a write-up.
