I have a BelTran Battery Tender Junior I used on my C6 Grand Sport for years. Now with my new to me 2017 Grand Sport, I am curious if anyone has bought the cigarette adapter for this unit and used it with success.
Or would another choice be better.
Thanks
I bought this adapter for Deltran Battery Tender Plus. Use it in rear compartment connection. Been using it for two years on my 17 GS ! Bought it on EBay

Or go to Wallyworld, buy a lighter plus, and a SAE lead, and make your own. (provided you can solder wires, or buy that adapter.) The battery doesn't care where the 12V+ comes from...

I use the cigarette adapter with a Schumacher 1.5a maintainer on my Z vert. I used the same maintainer for 10 years on my C6Z, but wired it directly to the fuse box under the hood. I notice that the C6Z got a green light a lot quicker hardwired than the C7Z does through the cigarette adapter in the trunk.
I discovered the fuse in my adapter was not adequate. I didn’t realize a fuse existed in the adapter since there was a heavy inline fuse as well as fault protection in the tender. Doesn’t make sence why a ma fuse is used in a 2-5 amp application
You might want to get one that is longer - cause you can run the cable from the rear, along the inside, out the window and to the tender... Longer cord gives you some extra options:

Yep, bought the Deltran adaptor, works perfectly with my Power Tender or my Battery Tender Plus.
I've a good number of different tenders from a couple different companies and use(d) them on lots of vehicles. I find they all work equally well with any adapters I've bought or that they came with. I've yet to get any such equipment that's picky in any way.
I have been using a Deltran Battery Tender for over 30 years and have batteries last about 10 years. My C7 has been connected using cigarette adapter with no problems !!!!
Bought the $10 adapter for my very old and reliable Deltran BT+ to maintain my 2015 C7 and it worked fine. My current GS had the Ctek unit packaged with the car so the BT+ is now dedicated to my truck.

That charger owes you nothing No need to pinch the cord though. Just set the trunk lid down and the light goes off after a short time.
I had one of the Battery Tender cigarette adapters quit working, for no apparent reason, so I installed the hard-wire adapter, that came with the BT. I connected the hot wire to the terminal on the side of the fuse box and the ground wire on a frame bolt below the air filter box under the alternator. There is a quick disconnect on that hard-wire pigtail so you can hook up the Battery Tender or disconnect it easily. I keep the hood ajar and let the wire hang down the fender to the BT. I love this set-up and will never go back to the clamps or cigarette adapter. Try it. i think you'll see the advantages of not dealing with the hatchback or trunk lid pinching the BT cable and I think it is a much more solid connection than the plug connector.
