Do you have any pictures of what the dash mat looks like on your car? I went to the website but the photos they have don't make it look very good unfortunately
I do It looks 100% better in person, I purposely took these photo's at a higher level to show how it lays on the dash.. So it looks washed out... I am also still adjusting the part in front of the defrost as it was blocking the light sensor...
It came with Velcro but I bought a whole roll so there is no chance of it moving, where there was a seam I put Velcro... I left the plastic on the velcro, installed it on the dash, then lifted and removed the plastic and placed exactly where I wanted it... https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BDK0NC
I found this site and learned of the issue, I asked for suggestions on preventing it, if possible. IMO, it seems random, as some have it and some never have an issue.
1.) Installed window tint to side and front windows. I was hesitant about installing tint to windshield but it wasn't as dark as sides and actually it seems to be a great addition. The interior stays cooler, significantly, when parked.
2.) I usually use a sunshield on windshield when parked. Not perfect and don't do it every time, but as a rule I usually do it.
3.) I try to treat the leather often with amour all or similar. While I have not proof, I am wondering if keeping the leather treated to prevent it from "drying" and shrinking. I am confident that it doesn't hurt, and maybe it has helped.
I was told the issue is the glue, and the sun uv was the cause.
Honestly, I don't know, but these are the steps I have done and continue to do. I wish you the best.
Our 2014 3LT Convertible is bubbling along the defroster driver's side. Not too bad today so easy to ignore. But I'd guess a slow creep. Hate it, but Chev service drive shrugged and said its expensive to fix. Thanks for that.
Not trying to be jerk. But I am wondering what would happen if you got a very small needle, like the ones that diabetics use and poke it through the leather and squirt a glue in there and then try to spread it out.
I cant imagine it would take much glue. If it happens to mine, that is what I have in my mind.
Crazy?

Ken, I've seen people mention that but they've said after it doesn't lay flat because the original glue is sprayed on evenly and doing this makes it look lumpy. It's still worth a shot since you have to replace it anyway if it doesn't work

Not sure if it's the 1) glue or 2) leather.
I would tend to blame the glue/adhesive. Because on my '99 Mercedes Benz' headliner started giving way because of the adhesive/glue used on the car in manufacturing it. Later years, didn't release.
I'm not recalling '17 3lts as failing. Maybe '17s were a changed glue formulation? I dunno....
My '17 sat outside unsold for 15 months before I bought it new. So far, so good.
